Project Coordinator - Full Time

The role

Working closely with Head of Programme Management preparing comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. Perform various coordinating tasks such as schedule and risk management, maintaining project documentation, supplier liaison, budgetary control & monitoring, risk management. Ultimately, to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Programme Management on process adherence
  • Monitor project progress
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all relevant participants
  • Assist in the development of project processes and documentation
  • Minute internal and external project meetings, follow up with action owners
  • Set up and maintenance of Gantt schedules
  • Preparation & maintenance of project financial reports
  • Manage and update project risk registers
  • Manage customer or performance driven change requests
  • Assist in the timely resolution of project quality issues including following up with suppliers on non-conformances and updating internal QA logs
  • Supplier liaison
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports
  • Reporting of KPIs, generate and maintain project dashboard
  • Maintenance of contract and correspondence folders

Essential Desirable Education/Qualifications

  • HND/ Higher Apprenticeship level
  • 2-3 years’ experience within industry
  • Project management qualification (prince I/II / AMP)

Experience

  • Proven experience of working in a Programme/Project Management team within commercial engineering organisations/industry
  • Experience of supporting technically complex engineering projects
  • Experience of working on aerospace industry projects
  • Experience of technology start-ups

Skills/ Knowledge      

  • The ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
  • Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Self-starter
  • Delivery/getting things done focus
  • Work well under time pressure without sacrificing quality
  • Strong client/supplier-facing and teamwork skills
  • High level MS Project and Excel capability & practical experience
  • Strong communication skills, verbal & written using a variety of mediums
  • Budget/ financial reporting and management
  • Detail and solution oriented
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control

Location: Trumpington, Cambridge U.K

Hours: 9:00pm – 5pm (with flexitime) Monday to Friday
